Known for constantly pushing the envelope with his innovative styling and persistent re-invention of how beauty should be perceived,top session stylist and Vogue regular Neil Moodie has climbed to the top of the hairstyling arena to become one of the industry’s most applauded and well loved names.

Neil began hairdressing in 1984 and debuted into the world of editorial styling in 1993, working with renowned photographer Corinne day on an editorial for The Face magazine. This lead to a quick succession of bookings, the first being for Italian Vogue followed by his first ever advertising campaign for Miu Miu. Today Neil works with some of the most successful and talented personalities in the fashion industry, and is known for being one of the top london hairdressers of his time.

His experimentation with various textures and trade mark style of mixing contemporary, graphic elements with classic fundamentals has kept him in high demand ever since.

In 1998 Neil became contracted to Aveda as an editorial stylist, a contract that continued for 6 years. This lead on to another worldwide contract for 6 years as an editorial stylist for the hair product label Bumble and Bumble, ending in the Dec of 2012, when Neil left to concentrate solely on his own product line.

WINDLE AND MOODIE
In June 2008 Neil launched a range of electrical hairstyling tools, WAM (Windle and Moodie).  Created with Paul Windle owner of London’s famed Windle Salon in Covent Garden. The unique line included an ionic Hairdryer, Straightening Irons, 2 sizes of Marcel Curling Irons, a Diffuser and 3 sizes of their revolutionary new Revolving Curling Iron. The electrical products have become the top of every top session stylist’s wishlist. Neil has appeared on QVC on numerous occasions as a guest presenter to sell the WAM products. As well as appearing on QVC, Neil has appeared on Fashion TV and magazine websites giving quotes and backstage tips. Spinning off from the success of the WAM tools, Neil opened a salon with business partner Paul Windle . The Windle salon stood for 22 years, and following an extensive re-design,  Windle and Moodie opened its doors in Nov 2010.  Based in Shorts Gardens, Covent Garden, WC2, the salon has gone on to become a great success.
In July 2014 Paul and Neil launched the Windle and Moodie Wet Product Line to the UK beauty press. The line consists of 22 products in total with 4 shampoos, 2 conditioners, a treatment masque and pre-shampoo oil treatment, with the other 14 products forming the styling range.

He also co-designs a range of avant-garde hats known as Iconic Heads, which is an ongoing project since 2003 with designer Flora McLean from House of Flora. These have exhibited worldwide at Colette in Paris, Bumble and Bumble in New York and Liberty Store, London.
