HEY GUYS ( and gals- don’t run off just yet)…….. I’M ALWAYS BEING ASKED ABOUT CURLY HAIR  ISSUES, WHAT WITH ME HAVING VERY CURLY HAIR MYSELF.

ONE OF THE BIGGEST QUESTIONS IS ALWAYS:  HOW DO I GET IT STRAIGHT WITHOUT CHEMICALS?

Well there’s no easy answer to this really apart from me explaining the best products to use and best tools

A couple of years ago I made some mens tutorial videos for the Windle and Moodie Youtube page and randomly the mens curly to straight video is the most watched……….. so I’ve decided the best thing to do is to share the video with you all again. Ladies, you can take heed too, either if you have curly hair yourself or if your other half  wants you to do their hair.

Men spend more time grooming themselves than ever before…….. so ladies watch out. The men are giving you a run for your money and there’s no sign of it dying down anytime soon.

Watch and learn.

NEW WORK OUT NOW – ISSEY MIYAKE CAMPAIGN BY JACOB SUTTON

Issey Miyake 三宅 一生 , born 22 April 1938 is a fashion designer from Japan and produces his own fragrances too. He is known for his technology-driven clothing designs, exhibitions and fragrances, most notably the “L’eau d Issey” brand scent which became his most iconic product worldwide.

In the late 1980s, he began to experiment with methods of pleating that would allow both flexibility of movement for the wearer as well as easy care and production. He developed a way where the fabrics are cut and sewn first, then sandwiched between layers of paper and fed into a heat press, where they are pleated. The fabric’s ‘memory’ holds the pleats and when the garments are liberated from their paper cocoon, they are ready-to wear.

His new collection for Autumn Winter 2016 is based on the following:

The traveler who sets out into the immeasurable world of Making Things ventures into unexplored galaxies in search of new stars.

BEYOND—to pursue as yet unseen and unknown beauty created from A Piece Of Cloth

The fabrics are baked stretch and 3D steam stretch.

I worked on the imagery and film for the new campaign with photographer and director Jacob Sutton.

See the beautiful images and film below.

JUST ANOTHER MOODIE MONDAY – CHEREE BY SUICIDE

Posted by | Blog | No Comments

suicide2

HAPPY MONDAY PEEPS!! WITHOUT WANTING TO SOUND MORBID, I’M STARTING THIS WEEK OFF WITH A BIT OF SUICIDE – THE BAND.

YESTERDAY SUICIDE’S FRONTMAN ALAN VEGA SADLY DIED AT THE AGE OF  78.

SUICIDE was an American musical duo, intermittently active between 1970 and 2016, composed of vocalist Vega and instrumentalist Martin Rev. The group’s pioneering music made use of minimalist electronic instruments and primitive drum machines.  Their early performances were confrontational and often ended in violence. They were among the first groups to use the phrase Punk in an advertisement for a concert in 1970.

Suicide took it’s name from the title of a Ghost Rider comic book called Satan Suicide, one of Alan Vega’s favourites.

They were never widely popular among the general public, but have been recognized as among the most influential acts of their era: Rolling Stone Magazine called them “an unmeasurable influence on the industrial dance, noise, techno, ambient and electronic scenes of the 80”s and 90’s. Suicide’s albums of the late 1970s and early 1980s have now become regarded as some of the most influential recordings of their time and helped shape the direction of indie rock, industrial music and dance music.

In September 2009, Suicide performed their whole debut LP live as part of the All Tomorrow’s Parties,  Don’t Look Back series.

Their track Ghost Rider was sampled in MIA’s 2010 single Born Free and LCD Soundsystem covered Alan Vega’s solo song Bye Bye Bayou.

In memory of Alan here’s one of their tracks from their 1977 self titled Album, Suicide.

The track is called Cheree and was also used in the Jean Michel Basquiat Film titled Downtown ’81 which vividly depicts the explosive downtown New York art and music scene of 1980-81. This video is from the film where the track was used.

BUSTER’S iD Magazine Cover from ON ALL FOURS

MANY WHO FOLLOW ME ON HERE WILL KNOW MY DOG BUSTER.

BUSTER APPEARED IN MANY POSTS WHEN I FIRST STARTED MY BLOG IN A SERIES OF POSTS CALLED “ON ALL FOURS”

BUSTER IS A MINIATURE SCHNAUZER FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW, AND WAS MY AMAZING PET FOR 11 YEARS. HE WAS ADORABLE AND ADORED NY MANY WHO MET HIM, IN FACT HE INSPIRED A FEW PEOPLE I KNOW TO ACTUALLY GET A DOG OF THEIR OWN DUE TO HIS LOVELY, SWEET NATURE AND CHARM. HE HAD A HABIT OF WINNING PEOPLE AROUND EVEN IF THEY WEREN’T NECESSARILY DOG LOVERS.

Well, sadly after 2 years of illness with Spondylitis of the spine, I had to have Buster put to sleep on Tuesday of this week. I’ve been heart broken as you can imagine, and I miss him terribly. I’m still waking up expecting him to be there in the mornings.

Rather than mourn Busters death I’ve decided to celebrate the wonderful times I had with him and also what a wonderful companion he was to me.

In the On All Fours posts I used to dress Buster up in wigs etc. Some may have thought it cruel but whenever I got wigs out etc, Buster loved to play with them, and so as part of his training, I taught him the discipline of sitting still.  BLESS HIM.

BUSTER IN A LATEX BERET

So, I compiled these little videos that I posted on Instagram of some of his best bits.

I hope you enjoy them and if you want to see any of the ON ALL FOURS posts, then google Neil Moodie, On All Fours and they will come up.

RIP BUSTER MOODIE. SIMPLY THE BEST!!

RIO OLYMPICS 2016 – NEW TRAILER FOR THE PARALYMPICS. SUPERHUMANS!

Posted by | Blog | No Comments

ope_rio2016_oe1-1200x727

AS WE ALL KNOW THE 2016 OLYMPICS IS UPON US,

I can’t believe it’s 4 years ago we were just getting ready for the 2012 London Olympics which turned out to be a huge success.

Well all those amazing Olympians are now off to Rio in Brazil and I’m super excited. I love the Olympics and was lucky enough to go to the first day of the athletics at the Olympic Stadium in London. Sadly I cannot go to the ones in Rio, but I shall be glued to the TV as much as possible.

In the 2012 Olympics the Paralympic Games also took place.

The 2012 Summer Paralympics, the fourteenth Summer Paralympic Games also  known as the London 2012 Paralympic Games, were a major international multi sport event for athletes with disabilities governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), that took place in London from 29 August to 9 September 2012. These Paralympics were one of the largest multi-sport events ever held in the UK after the 2012 Summer Olympics and were the largest Paralympics ever: 4,302 athletes from around the globe participated, with fourteen countries appearing in the Paralympics for the first time ever. A total of 503 events in 20 sports were held during these games.

The lead-up to these games prominently emphasized the return of the Paralympic movement to its spiritual birthplace: in 1948, the British village of Stoke Mandeville first hosted the Stoke Mandeville Games, an athletics event for disabled British veterans of the Second World War held to coincide with the opening of the Summer Olympics in London. They were the first-ever organized sporting event for disabled athletes, and served as a precursor to the modern Paralympic Games.

Following the huge success and coverage of the 2012 Paralympic Games, Channel 4 this week launched their trailer for the coverage of the 2016 Paralympic Games. When I saw this I was hugely inspired by all the participants who despite their disabilities have overcome them to go on to be some of the most talented people.

All I’m going to say is watch this video, be inspired and remember to watch and support the Paralympics after the main Summer Olympics on Channel 4 in the UK or on whichever channel in your country has coverage.

HI THERE,

WE’RE BACK AFTER A 2 WEEK BREAK…….. I HOPE YOU’VE ALL BEEN KEEPING YOURSELVES ENTERTAINED.

WE’VE HAD BREXIT ( EUUUGH!!), WIMBLEDON, THE EUROPEAN CUP, MOTOR RACING, ATHLETICS,  RESIGNATIONS IN PARLIAMENT AND TV, WE’VE HAD THE LOT.  SO WHAT BETTER WAY TO KICK OFF OUR WEEK BACK WITH A LITTLE CELEBRATION OF ANDY MURRAY WINNING WIMBLEDON FOR THE 2ND TIME BUT FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.

This great little video put a smile on my face when I saw it. It’s all the people watching on the hill ( nicknamed Henman Hill after the crowds started watching matches on the big screen there when British player Tim Henman was still playing) and their reaction at the moment Andy won.

Thank the lord for sport that can help bring a nation back together after feeling like it’s all falling apart. See all these British sports men and women below.
