WELCOME TO “JUST ANOTHER MOODIE MONDAY!” – MUSIC TO CHEER US UP ON MONDAYS!!

Posted by | Blog | No Comments

WELCOME TO A NEW POST I’VE CREATED FOR MONDAYS!!

I haven’t gotten rid of Moods Comedy Monday ( which was also created to cheer up a bluesy Monday) I just wanted to mix it up a little for you so we had music as well as comedy sketches.

Anyway, the first one is actually the song I stole the title from, by The Bangles. I’ve also included the mini video I’ve made for Social Media to promote this post.

I hope you like the tracks that will be coming up over the next few months. They cheer me up when I hear them, so hopefully they’ll do the same for you.

Q&A WITH THE BRITISH MODEL SENSATION THAT IS SAM ROLLINSON!

Posted by | Blog | No Comments

British Models sensation Sam Rollinson has been modelling since she was 15.  her Instagram and Twitter accounts state that “She’s a Model, Likes a good old laugh, a cup of tea and banter.

I couldn’t describe the Doncaster born model better myself.  The Yorkshire lass is actually quite Tomboyish in her dress and having spent some time with her at work I know she likes to drink her body weight  in cups of tea, haha. ( I know I can too !!)   I’ve also heard through her flatmates and friends that she’s also pretty good at karaoke.

I originally met Sam when her agency Select sent her to me to get her haircut off about 4 years ago.  Without wanting to make claim for her hair look ( which is a swinging 20’s Bob with a fringe) Sam does state me as the guy who cut her hair off.  She’s since gone shorter and more severe in the bob length which has now become her trademark.

Her first campaign was for Burberry no-less,  and  when she bagged the Balenciaga show at the beginning of last year with her shorter hair, she then went on to walk for almost every designer’s show worth walking for.

And so it leaves me to tell you that i’ll let Sam tell you the rest……………..

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE GROWING UP?

A ballerina (haha), or a baker, I never had any really serious ideas of what I wanted to be.

HOW DID YOU BEGIN MODELLING?

I got scouted by Select Model Management at the clothes show – and then went down to London and they took me on.

IS THERE ANYBODY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE IF YOU WEREN’T YOU?

I’ve never wanted to be anyone else, it’d be cool to be someone who was really good at art or something though.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

East London.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING IN YOUR CITY WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Less traffic in rush hour haha!

FOR YOUR FIRST FULL SEASON OF SHOWS, A/W 2013 YOU WALKED FOR A HUGE AMOUNT OF DESIGNERS ( 67, I THINK)  AND EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE WORKED FOR SOME BIG BRANDS ALREADY SINCE YOU STARTED MODELLING IN 2010, THAT YEAR SEEMED TO BE YOUR BIG BREAK. WHY DO YOU THINK MADE THAT HAPPEN?

I have no idea why it happened, I’m still baffled by it all. I guess the right people picked me at the right time. Its all about timing with modelling.

WERE YOU NERVOUS WHEN YOU GOT BOOKED FOR BURBERRY AS YOUR FIRST BIG CAMPAIGN IN 2010

WHAT MUSIC WERE YOU INTO GROWING UP AND ARE YOU STILL INTO IT NOW?

MY STORY SO FAR (AND THE HAIRCUTS!) – Recently Found Pics from 1993/94 with Corinne Day and Karl Plewka

Posted by | Blog | No Comments

KARL, CORINNE AND ME IN PARIS

I recently found these old pictures of myself and two of my besties, the late photographer Corinne Day, and Stylist Karl Plewka

The first was taken in her old flat in Brewer Street in Soho London. I don’t remember the year exactly and its going slightly out of the chronological order of  the My Story So Far sequence, but I just love it as a picture, partly because its an old polaroid, which don’t exist anymore.

The second is of Corinne, Karl and myself in Paris around the same time as the first picture. Corinne and I used to tag along with Karl to the Ready To Wear fashion shows in Paris and blag our way into shows we wanted to see. Karl had tickets for all the shows because of his job but Corinne and I didn’t. I seem to remember this particular season we blagged our way into my first ever John Galliano show. I was completely blown away by the theatre  I experienced.

Fun Times!!

I think it was around 1993/94

MENS WIMBLEDON FINAL – THE BEST AND THE WORST OF MENS HAIR IN TENNIS

Posted by | Blog | No Comments

Today is the mens Wimbledon singles final. One of my favourite tennis tournaments of the year.

Todays contest will be thrashed out between World NO 4 and 7 times Champion Roger Federer, going for a record 8 wins and World No 2, and 2011 Winner Novak Djokovic.

Meanwhile, for your entertainment I’ve compiled the best and the worst of mens hairstyles from the tennis world over the years, which includes Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Arthur Ash, and Andy Murray to name a few……..

Enjoy the final and having a giggle at some of these what quite frankly are hilarious Man do’s.
